NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ISSUED “WEATHER BRIEFING UPDATE #4”  12052024.0194

A cold front will bring the potential for scattered to numerous snow showers/squalls north/east of the I-80/I-99 interchange this morning. Snow squalls will be possible across NW PA into Friday morning. Lake effect and upslope snow is ongoing and is expected to continue through Friday night. Snowfall amounts exceeding 6” are most likely west of I-99 and north of I-80, with lesser amounts farther south and east. Westerly winds will gust 35 to 50 mph now through Thursday evening before tapering off into Friday morning.

Important Changes: Minor changes to snowfall amounts, timing of snow squalls this morning and wind speeds.
