A burn ban has been implemented at Pennsylvania State Forests, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources put out a statement saying, “With the arrival of spring comes increased potential for wildfires.” The DCNR said that 99% of wildfires in Pennsylvania are caused by people.
Campfires and open burning are not allowed in Pennsylvania state forests from March 1 through May 25 to help combat the spread of wildfires.
